A female scientist attempts to uncover the truth surrounding the death of a police officer (who dies when her brain falls into the lap of truck driver!), using a new brain-scanning machine she has been developing.

Through her investigation she discovers the man on death-row for the murder is actually innocent, but more importantly she becomes acquainted with a sinister serial killer who seems to possess bizarre mind-controlling abilities.

Gruesome from the outset, this film managed to combine, stomach-churning special effects, with even worse acting (look out for a particularly hammy performance from Dennis Hopper playing the demented prison warden.)
