A creepy horror film with some uncomfortable and unsettling images, set in a creaky old insane asylum run by Dr Franks (B-movie stalwart Lance Henriksen). Joshua Leonard plays Clark, an idealistic young student who starts work there, but quickly uncovers a chamber of horrors. Everything you can think of is thrown into the plot --- for starters, there's a basement full of every stereotypical mad person imaginable. There's also a ghostly child running wild in the corridors. And then the grisly murders begin... As the killings mount up, Clark and co-worker Sara (Jordan Ladd, daughter of 'Charlie's Angel' Cheryl) set out to solve the puzzle of who --- or what --- is slaughtering the staff. Slickly shot, although a little OTT, this is passably entertaining for both mystery and horror fans, but don't expect anything wildly out of the rut.
