The Chronicles of Riddick
The supercharged sequel to the cult hit, Pitch Black, catches up with Vin Diesel's Richard B Riddick five years down the line... and lo, a franchise is born. The main draw here is our anti-hero mouthing something butch while he totals the bad guys and as such it's Riddick-ulously good fun.
Riddick is the most over the top character ever. They've upped everything about his character from Pitch Black, and added a huge budget to it too. The effect is a somewhat confused movie with plenty of good ideas, and very little taken full advantage of.
The character is made out to be so strong and tough, that it becomes ridiculous (no pun intended) - for instance, when running from the sun as it burnt up the planet, I had to ask why he simply didn't punch it in the face.

Sci-fi is my thing and let me assure you that this is a very good Sci-fi movie. The action sequences are great the plot is again surprisingly good and the special effects are even better. This is well worth a look even if you are not into Vin Diesel, the other "acting" parts are all very well played.

I think that this sequel is definitely worth seeing. Normally sequels always try too hard and muck up the whole story but this one is great.
Vin diesel for any one out there has the loveliset voice and the action sequences keep you on the edge of your seat.
All in all i think it is worth a look and a good movie to end our summer
