National Treasure
Treasure-hunting adventure in which Nicolas Cage returns to action mode and producer Jerry Bruckheimer does 'The Da Vinci Code' without actually securing the rights. Ever since Grandpa told him the story, Benjamin (Cage) has been seeking a mythical treasure trove, amassed over centuries and well-hidden by America's founding fathers. Unfortunately the latest clue requires him to steal the Declaration of Independence, which is about as easy as nicking the Crown Jewels...
This is a great family movie, provided your family consists solely of idiots and children under 6 months. This film is lazy, tedious and has no timing, comic or otherwise. It thought it was a modern Indianna Jones. It was more like a school production of The Goonies.

Excellent movie full of adventure with twists everywhere. A good family film - my kids loved it too. Plenty of action and something for everyone. We would all recommend it.

This is a good fun film that really shouldn't be taken seriously. It's a great Saturday-night-snuggled-up-with-Pizza-&-Beer-take-your-brain-out-and-enjoy-the-ride movie! Ace!
Lisa McIlwaine
This film is action packed from the start with an easy plot and storyline you never get bored with. Definitely one for the family.
Sandy Heath
Great family entertainment where you can just sit back and enjoy for two hours or so without having to think too hard. Good for kids, Good for adults.

When will the Americans stop casting British people as the villians. Anti-British, bad, bad plot line and wooden acting. All in all pretty poor.
Laura Curley
This film is rubbish and even my poor 8 year old was asking if it was over yet! Boring, predictable and has the usual English as baddies...yawn yawn all the way...

This is a fantastic family film, that managed for once to entertain myself, my 7 year old son and my almost teenage daughter all at the same time - a small miracle! Nicolas Cage was great in the lead role but even he was outshone by the one liners from his sidekick at times. The film was action packed with a type of Indiana Jones feel and managed to keep you on the edge of your seat at all times. Jon Voight was also exceptional as the grumpy old father in a more light hearted role than normal!
Elliott Noble
The tried-and-tested Bruckheimer formula makes this wild goose chase cornily entertaining for the first hour or so, then it starts to drag on. A lot. The plot is fun, but it all runs out of momentum, stretching over two hours and stuffed with unconvincing, by-the-book characters. Cage looks sheepish, Voight looks lost, Kruger is little more than a pretty trinket and Bean is half-baked.
The film also proves that (1) Nic Cage can't run, and (2) Bruckheimer never makes movies with American baddie.
