Z Channel: A Magnificent Obsession

American programming chief John Harvey was the tortured visionary who scheduled almost a decade-worth of classic alternative films on the Los Angeles pay-TV movie service Z Channel in the 1980s. Hollywood greats including Robert Altman, Quentin Tarantino and Alexander Payne pay tribute to the man who found a home for classics ranging from Young Frankenstein to the director's cut of Bertolucci's sprawling 1900, in this compelling documentary.
