X-Men: The Last Stand
The Marvel-lous mutants unleash their unique talents for a third X-capade in which a 'cure' is discovered for the mutant condition. Once again, malevolent Magneto (Ian McKellen) wages war on the human oppressors, while Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Professor X (Patrick Stewart) and the X-folk strive to keep the peace. But that's not easy with resurrected telepath Jean Grey (Famke Janssen) wreaking havoc in her uncontrollable new persona. X3 is far from X-ceptional, but it still gives action freaks plenty to chew on.
Best movie of the year. So good it beats all of the other X-Men films and puts a bad stamp on every other film brought out this year.

I thught this movie was the best movie of the year. It was the best out of the three!

After a long wait and the change of director, X fans were looking for an ending to the saga that is the X-Men adaptation...no such luck! Following a 3 year wait for the inevitable "last stand" the plot seemed weak, loosing the story for character development. Although an enjoyable film with great graphics, it took its time to end and get the final point across...but is it really the end? I smell another sequel!

Let's face it X-fans this is the film we've all been waiting for where we really see each characters potential. I always felt Bryan Singer's version was a bit off the pace, always left wanting more, but Brett Ratner throws all thats gone before out the window. Most critics knocked Terminator 3 for it's shift when James Cameron left the series but it was brilliant. In the same vain X3 shocks, entertains but still leaves you wanting more. Well Done Brett you did a good job.

The film was great, it is action-packed and has new heroes in it. The fight scenes, the special effects are amazing. It is better than the comics, it has great, great graphics and fantastic power.

The alarm bells should have started ringing when someone with the name Ratner was handed the reins of this flawed but never less than enjoyable series. The previous X-Men movies lacked focus because they were overloaded with too many characters but at least Bryan Singer was confident enough to explore adult themes of prejudice and bigotry. With Brett Ratner on board it seems like the controls of a jumbo jet have been handed from a senior pilot to a spotty kid just getting his head round an X-Box
