No Telly For Minnelli

Oscar winner Liza Minnelli is suing cable music channel VH1 after it pulled the plug on her planned reality series before it even aired.

Minnelli and husband, producer David Gest, are seeking more than £15m in damages after they were filmed for 60 hours for the TV show which was then cancelled.

TV heads branded Gest impossible to work with, and in a statement, the network said the reason the show was scrapped was because: "we were not given the cooperation and access that we were promised."

Now the high-profile couple, insist the decision is a breach of contract.

The 'Liza & David' show was to have featured musical performances, dinner parties with the couple's celebrity friends and inside looks at their high-society lives.
