Emma: I Can't Have More Kids

Emma Thompson has spoken of her heartbreak at not being able to have any more children.

Emma, 44, and partner Greg Wise have a daughter Gaia, three, was conceived by IVF.

Emma said: "I can't have any more children.

"I would have desperately liked to have had more, and it's been a great agony for me.

"There's been an awful lot of grief to get through in not being able to get pregnant again.

"But there are thousands and thousands of women like me who can't have children."

Emma suffered a miscarriage towards the end of her marriage to Kenneth Branagh in 1995.

Greg, 37, has admitted that he was left depressed and needing counselling by their inability to have a child.

Emma now works as an ambassador for Action Aid.
