Paul Reiser
Born: 30th March 1957
Where: New York
In 1977 Paul graduated in piano and composition from the State University of New York. Following this he began performing stand up comedy.
Paul first gained attention in 1983 as Modell, one of the diner patrons in Barry Levinson's Diner.
He later reprised the role for the TV pilot Diner, but did not get a crack at sitcom stardom until My Two Dads in 1987, in which he starred as one of two possible fathers of an illegitimate daughter.
In 1987 he founded his own production company, Nuance Productions, which was named after a speech his character gives in the movie Diner.
In 1992 Paul co-produced, co-wrote and starred in the TV series Mad About You, for which he also wrote the theme song. He remained in the series for the following seven years.
Among Paul's feature credits are 1984's Beverly Hills Cop and its sequel Beverly Hills Cop II, a memorable villainous turn in James Cameron's Aliens and Crazy People as an agency executive trying to help a colleague (Dudley Moore) who has been institutionalised for promoting truth in advertising.
In 1999, Paul signed a development deal with Columbia TriStar Television, and had a supporting role in the Rob Reiner-directed feature The Story of Us.
