Laurie Metcalf

The actress is probably best known for her role as Jackie Harris in long-running American TV comedy Roseanne.
Growing up in Edwardsville, Illinois, she was a graduate of Edwardsville high school. She is the great-niece of screenwriter Zoƫ Atkins.
Her career started with a few appearances on TV, but he debut feature was 1985's film, Desperately Seeking Susan, alongside Madonna.
In 1988 she landed her famous part in Roseanne, a 200 episode series lasting until 1997.
Her first voice-over role was in 1995 for multi-award wining Toy Story, the first computer animated film. Metcalf had the part as Andy's mum, and worked with the likes of Tim Allen and Tom Hanks.
The next few years bought Metcalf, Scream 2, several television parts, a small role in Runaway Bride and Toy Story 2.
After numerous other parts in popular television series including, Malcolm in the Middle, Absolutely Fabulous and Frasier, Metcalf got a part in the 2005 film Fun with Dick and Jane, as the boss.
Leading to the present day Metcalf has starred in many more popular American programs, one of which a part in desperate housewives, stretched throughout many episode.
And now in 2007 she recently completed meet The Robinson, family film for which she does a voice over as Lucille Krunklehorn.
She has completed a film Georgia Rule, soon to be released, but at the moment has just had her second child with husband Matt Roch, at age of 50.
