Gérard Depardieu, in his fifth film for iconoclastic French director Bertrand Blier, stars in this sardonic adult movie about an unusual love triangle. He plays a married man, with a beautiful wife, who falls in love with his dowdy secretary. Former James Bond girl Carole Bouquet is the neglected wife, while stage actress Josiane Balasko, described by her director as 'a grenade with the pin out', plays the mistress in this witty, unusual and believable black comedy-romance, which is cleverly rounded off.
