Marlon Wayans
Born: 23rd July 1972
Where: New York City
The actor and writer hatched the idea for the successful Scary Movie series with his brothers Shawn and Kennen.
The youngest of the ten Wayans children, Marlon attended the Fiorello H LaGuardia School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York.
He made his feature debut in brother Damon's action comedy showcase Mo' Money in 1992 playing Seymour, the younger brother - and partner in crime - of the con man protagonist.
He appeared in several TV adverts before he spending three years as a regular on the sketch comedy series In Living Color, which also featured brothers Keenen, Damon and Shawn and sister Kim.
He and brother Shawn later teamed as co-writers and co-stars of the feature spoof Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood and as co-creators and co-stars of the sitcom The Wayans Bros.
At one stage he was considered for the role of Robin in the Batman movies by Tim Burton but the idea was dropped when Joel Schumaker took over the project.
Instead, the Wayans duo hit the big-time in 2000 with Scary Movie, their scatological spoof of teen horror flicks, directed by brother Keenen.
The same year he compellingly played drug addict Tyrone C Love in Requiem for a Dream and also starred in the film adaptation of the boardgame Dungeons & Dragons.
After Scary Movie 2, he starred alongside Tom Hanks in the Coen brothers' remake of the Ealing comedy The Ladykillers.
Recent work includes a starring role and writing duties in the crime comedy White Chicks.
