Daniel Bernard Sweeney was a talented athlete at school, But the dream to become a professional baseball player came to an end when he injured his leg in a motorcycle accident.
It was his love of acting that helped him carve out an alternative career path.
After 3 years at New York University, D.B got his first big break - on Broadway in The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial.
His screen debut came when he was picked to be in the movie Gardens of Stone (1987) directed by Frances Ford Coppola.
D.B's other credits include Hear No Evil, X-Men and Hard Ball.
