A marvellous cast , including Liza Minnelli, Dudley Moore and Matthew Perry, is assembled for this ensemble comedy drama set around a weekend reunion at a Mid-Western college. It's a time for old rivalries to flare up and old friendships to be renewed, a familiar ritual shattered by a murder. With its largely improvised screenplay, this is a delicious acting showcase, though the film's editors haven't quite succeeded in making sense of it all or in providing a clear and concise storyline with any real dramatic rhythm. Highly watchable for all that.
