Two and a half cheers for this intense and beautifully controlled French drama dissecting the break-up of a relationship in microscopic detail. It's driven along by Isabelle Huppert and Daniel Auteuil's credible and distinguished portrayals of the couple who find themselves overwhelmed by trouble in paradise. Raw, real and strangely disturbing.
