He made his debut in 1968 with the erotic drama Erotissimo and was also behind the porn comedy Let's Make A Dirty Movie.

Other work has included the comedy L'Enterloupe and the Luc Besson-scripted action comedy about an aspiring FI pilot Taxi.

Steal features Stephen Dorff and Natasha Henstridge as bankrobbers blackmailed into a major heist.
