The former Neighbours star attracted attention for his portrayal of Australian swimming champion Tony Fingleton in Swimming Upstream.
He made his small screen debut as Billy Kennedy in the Australian soap Neighbours and stayed with the role for six years.

Subsequent roles include the TV version of Lorna Doone and the 2001 horror yarn The Curse of the Talisman.
The same year he took the unlikely role of Lord James Browning Jr in the Olsen twins vehicle Winning London.
In 2003, he starred alongside Geoffrey Rush and Judy Davis in the sports drama Swimming Upstream.
The same year he also starred as the male love interest in the Britanny Murphy rom-com Uptown Girls.
