A low-budget love story. If you forget the facts that the principal protagonists are homosexuals and that one of them is dying of AIDS, then this effective - and affecting - tale is like dozens of 'women's' pictures, with the star having to choose between two lovers, one dependable and boring, the other wildly unpredictable. Director Bill Sherwood coaxes warm performances from the little-known leading players. A typical showbiz party makes an entertaining centrepiece, with Sherwood's floating camera eavesdropping on the gossiping guests.
