Australian director Trenbirth made his feature debut with the Disney sequel Jungle Book 2.

At 21 he began working for cartoon giants as director of animation at their Sydney studios on TV series such as Goof Troop and Aladdin.

He then switched his focus to The Return of the Jafar, the sequel to the hit movie Aladdin.

He was the Australian studio's animation director on The Lion King II: Simba's Pride and Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure.
