Robocop aka Peter Weller

As Officer Murphy in Robocop, Peter Weller is mostly remembered for a role in which his face was rarely on display.

"The make-up was tough," he says.

"Before filming there was around six and a half hours of prosthetic make-up, and then an hour and a half of putting on the suit.

"I had to go through that for 23 days. When taking the make-up off, you'd end up with these big blisters. They'd just ruin your face.

"To top it off, it was about 120 degrees Fahrenheit inside the suit so there were two guys with industrial air conditioning tubes standing around me all the time."
