Johnny Depp as Ed Wood, George Jung and J.M. Barrie
Johnny Depp's ability to play any form of character yet continue to be truly believable is fascinating.
As Ed Wood he perfectly portrayed one of the movie world's most bizarre characters, infusing him with as much stupidity as sympathy.
The recent Finding Neverland could be the role that bags him an Oscar, playing the author and Peter Pan creator J.M. Barrie.
And two rather drug fuelled movies - Blow and Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas - showed the star could play roles from a completely different world - especially the latter, in which his impersonation of Hunter S. Thompson was disturbing, such was the accuracy in voice and demeanour.
